Stellar Blade Walkthrough: Comprehensive Mission Path, Boss Strategies, and All Endings
Surviving the post-apocalyptic landscapes of Earth in Stellar Blade requires more than just quick reflexes. As Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad, players must navigate decaying cities, vast deserts, and high-tech laboratories while battling the Naytiba threat. This walkthrough covers the essential path from the initial landing to the final decision at the Nest, ensuring no critical puzzles or bosses are missed.
Essential Survival Mechanics and Early Development
Success in combat leans heavily on the balance between aggression and defense. The parry system is the cornerstone of Eve’s survival; successfully timing a block not only negates damage but also depletes the enemy's Balance gauge. When an enemy's Balance is fully depleted, they become susceptible to a Retribution strike, dealing massive damage.
Prioritizing specific skills early in the game significantly alters the difficulty curve. The 'Ambush' skill is highly recommended, as it allows for instant kills on most standard enemies when approaching undetected. Additionally, focusing on the 'Blink' and 'Repulse' skills in the survival tree is necessary for countering blue and yellow unblockable attacks. For resource management, enabling 'Auto-pickup' in the settings menu ensures that gold and upgrade materials from fallen foes are never left behind.
Eidos 7: The Silent Street and the Flooded Sector
The journey begins in Eidos 7, a ruins-heavy environment that serves as the game's primary tutorial area. After the initial encounter with the Brute alongside Tachy, Eve meets Adam and begins the search for a Hyper Cell.
Navigating the Silent Street
To progress through the locked gate in the Silent Street, a passcode is required. This can be found on a deceased legionnaire located inside the building to the left of the gate. Once through, the focus shifts to finding Fusion Cells to power up localized grids. One Fusion Cell is tucked away inside a glowing vehicle nearby.
The Clock Tower and Memory Tower Puzzles
In the Flooded Commercial Sector, the path to the Memory Tower is blocked by a gate requiring a four-digit code. The solution is hidden in plain sight: look at the nearby clock tower. The time displayed, 12:25, translates to the passcode 1225.
After reaching the Memory Tower, players must restore power to the elevator. The underground power control room requires a passcode found on a legionnaire's corpse on the left side of the tower plaza. Restoring power allows access to the Hall of Records, where the first Hyper Cell is located.
Construction Zone Crane Puzzle
Before leaving Eidos 7, the Construction Zone presents a logistical challenge involving a crane. To move forward, Eve must collect three Crane ID cards:
- Card 1: Located in a supply box on the top floor of the collapsed building on the left.
- Card 2: Found on top of the abandoned warehouse.
- Card 3: Situated on a rooftop accessible via a nearby lift.
Once all cards are acquired, operate the crane to move the hanging girders into a sequence that creates a platform path leading toward the sewer entrance.
Xion and the Open Regions: Wastelands and Great Desert
Xion serves as the central hub where Eve can accept side quests, upgrade her equipment at the repair console, and interact with NPCs like Kaya and Roxanne.
The Wastelands and the Solar Tower
Upon entering the Wastelands, the first priority should be the 'Reboot' side quest. The supply camps in this region remain inactive until the Solar Tower is repaired. Navigating the tower involves a series of platforming challenges and defeating enemies guarding the maintenance consoles. Once the tower is online, fast travel and full camp functionality become available.
Altess Levoire: The Gun-Play Shift
The mission to Altess Levoire introduces a significant gameplay shift. Inside this laboratory, Eve’s sword is temporarily disabled, forcing a reliance on the drone’s ranged weapons. Managing ammunition is key here.
One of the most complex puzzles involves the Sector A07 floor tiles. Players must walk across the tiles in a specific sequence of shapes (Circle, Triangle, Square) as indicated by the symbols on the monitors. Furthermore, the specimen preservation lab requires aligning laser reflectors to guide a beam into the central generator. Rotating the pedestals to create a continuous line of light is necessary to unlock the path to the Hyper Cell.
Matrix 11: The Underground Descent
Matrix 11 is a linear, combat-heavy gauntlet set in a subway system. This area features some of the most intense encounters in the mid-game.
- The Train Puzzle: In the rail yard, Eve must move train cars to reach higher platforms. The passcode for the locked train door is often found by scanning the environment for legionnaire corpses hidden inside the stationary cars.
- The Stalker Boss: This boss is a test of parry consistency. The Stalker uses a heavy club and has a predictable rhythm, but its attacks hit for significant damage. Staying close and focusing on depleting its balance is generally more effective than trying to maintain distance.
Boss Strategy Highlights
Throughout the mission path, several Alpha and Elder Naytibas act as gatekeepers.
Abaddon
Encountered early in Eidos 7, Abaddon uses two electric blades. In its second phase, it begins charging the arena with lightning. It is advisable to save Beta energy for the second phase to interrupt its heavy casting animations. Parrying its overhead double-swing provides the largest window for a counter-attack.
Gigas
Found at the end of the Eidos 7 crater, Gigas is a brute-force attacker. It relies on ground slams and leaps. When it glows red, it is performing an unblockable grab; dodging backward twice is usually enough to clear the area. Using the 'Shock Wave' Beta skill can help knock it out of its aggressive combos.
Tachy
The fight against Tachy is emotionally charged and mechanically difficult. She is fast and uses sweeping wing attacks. In her second phase, she gains wings and spends more time in the air. Using the drone’s slug rounds or stinger missiles can bring her back to the ground. This fight is a pure test of the 'Blink' mechanic, as she frequently uses blue-coded dash attacks.
Raven
Raven is perhaps the most difficult humanoid boss before the finale. Her attack speed is exceptionally high, and she can chain multiple unblockable moves. Players might find success by using the Tachy Mode transformation to burst through her final 25% health, as her aggression increases significantly toward the end of the fight.
The Points of No Return
Completionists must be aware of two critical junctions where the game world changes, potentially locking out side content.
- The First Point: This occurs after Eve agrees to be flown to the Orbital Elevator (Spire 4). Once you depart, Xion becomes inaccessible for a period, and many pending side quests will fail automatically. Ensure you have completed the quest lines for Enya, Su, and Kaya before this step.
- The Second Point: After completing Spire 4 and returning to Xion, there is a final moment before heading to the Nest. Once you enter the final area, you are committed to the ending sequence. This is the last chance to collect all 49 cans or finish any remaining board requests.
Unlocking All Endings
Stellar Blade features three distinct endings. The outcome depends on two factors: Lily’s affinity meter and the final choice made with Adam at the Nest.
Ending 1: Return to the Colony
To achieve this ending, Eve must refuse Adam’s offer at the very end of the game. This leads to a final boss fight against the Elder Naytiba. This ending is independent of Lily’s affinity level.
Ending 2: Cost of Lost Memories
This ending is reached by accepting Adam’s offer, but only if Lily’s affinity meter is not full (below 100%). To keep the meter low, players should avoid picking up lore documents and skip most side missions. In this scenario, Eve goes straight to Spire 4 without visiting the optional Eidos 9 area.
Ending 3: Making New Memories (The True Ending)
To unlock the true ending, players must fill Lily’s affinity bar to 100% before the first point of no return. This is achieved by collecting data logs, posters, and completing side quests. When the bar is full, a mandatory detour to Eidos 9 occurs before Spire 4. After completing the game and accepting Adam’s offer, this path leads to the final, most complete conclusion to Eve's story.
Management of Save Files
For those looking to see multiple endings in a single playthrough, it is possible to use the PlayStation Plus Cloud Save or a manual USB backup (on supported platforms) before the final choice. After seeing the 'Return to the Colony' ending, you can restore the save to choose the alternative option. However, since the Lily meter determines whether you get 'Cost of Lost Memories' or 'Making New Memories,' a second playthrough in New Game Plus is often required to see the third variation.
Final Completion Tips
Exploring the Great Desert and Wastelands thoroughly will yield various 'Exospines' and 'Gear' that can be upgraded. Mixing a 'Protection-type' Exospine with 'Speed-increase' Gear provides a balanced build suitable for most boss encounters.
If you find yourself struggling with specific platforming sections, remember that the double jump is an unlocked story ability. If a chest seems unreachable in the early hours of Eidos 7, it is often intended for a return visit once Eve has been upgraded by Lily. Using the drone's scan function (L3) frequently will highlight interactive objects, ladder rungs, and hidden Naytiba through walls, making the navigation of complex areas like the Spire 4 much more manageable.
